“I need Change. Massive positive change”.
With those words, Itumeleng Khune set Kaizer Chiefs fans’ collective hearts racing.
Khune posted that one line on Twitter on Monday night, ahead of Tuesday’s Absa Premiership clash against Highlands Park at Makhulong Stadium (7.30pm kickoff).
It came just a few hours after he expressed his gratitude for being called up to the Bafana Bafana squad for the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles later this month.
“Blessed with yet another call-up. It's always an honor being given the opportunity to represent my country #BafanaKaofela #SmashTheLabel #PassionDriven #Team16_32 #GodIsGreat”
But the later tweet may have been a suggestion that Amakhosi icon Khune wants to leave Naturena, and that is exactly what Chiefs fans asked him.
“Hope That Has Nothing To Do With ‘a club’”, said @MrChambersZA, while @Ntsako_Mganu added: “As long as you're not referring to the team, I say go for it...”
I need Change. Massive positive change 🙆🏻♂️💪🏻

But the 31-year-old Khune quickly allayed fears that he might leave Chiefs by replying: “Not at all”.
The classy Bafana Bafana No 1 has surprisingly not been snapped up by an overseas club, but following Siphiwe Tshabalala’s recent move to Turkey at the age of 33, it’s never too late.
Khune will hope that Chiefs can extend their three-match winning run tonight, and that he can produce another clean-sheet against Highlands Park.
Don't leave chiefs broer please, we proud of you, the best keeper in Africa is playing for khosi, and yeah you are in top 5 in the world
