Reacting to her move to the US, the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Golden Boot Award winner said she was looking forward to playing against some of the greatest players in the world.
“Kansas City is such a great place for football. I am eager to play in the NWSL and against some of the greatest players in the world.”
Magaia’s move to the US comes months after another Banyana player, Linda Motlhalo, also made her way to the States to join Racing Louisville FC.
Thembi Kgatlana also played in the National Women's Soccer League before joining Mexican side Club Tigres Femenil.
