The United Democratic Movement (UDM) leader Bantu Holomisa has accused President Cyril Ramaphosa of abusing the courts to impede parliamentary oversight over the judiciary executive.

This was revealed in a letter written to Ramaphosa’s lawyers, HNM Attorneys, by Holomisa’s legal representative, Mongezi Ntanga on Friday.

The letter also threatened to file an urgent application to get Ramaphosa to include the UDM in his review application to set aside the Section 89 panel report in the Constitutional Court.

The panel found that Ramaphosa had “a case to answer” regarding alleged crimes that took place at his Limpopo farm.

Last week, Ramaphosa filed an application to the apex court for review.

In his letter, Holomisa said he wanted Ramaphosa to cite his party as a respondent because it was among the parties that made submissions to the panel, otherwise it would file papers to become an interested party.

The letter further demanded that the president include all political parties in the court processes by 17:00 today or face court action.

Presidency spokesperson Vincent Magwenya did not respond to questions sent by Pretoria News.

However, in his application to the Constitutional Court last week, Ramaphosa argued that he was not directly involved in the running of the farm.

Last week The African Transformation Movement leader Vuyolwethu Zungula, vowed to haul Ramaphosa’s application for a review of the panel’s report to court.

Opposition parties also resolved to gang up against Ramaphosa in a bid to impeach him at the next sitting of the National Assembly this week.
