As Volkswagen prepares to launch its first electric vehicle in several new markets in January, here's a video for anybody who wants to know what e-mobility sounds like.
Called "The streets sound different", it takes an off-beat look at the advantages of battery cars, which move through the streets emission-free and (usually) almost silently.
This e-Up, however, was fitted with hidden speakers.
As it drove through the centre of Stockholm, vocalist and beatbox artist Fatih Sahin surprised passersby from the rear seat with his humorous imitations of driving noises.
The drive through the Swedish capital got a lot deal of attention from the locals; buskers spontaneously accompanied the e-Up on its journey with their guitars and flutes, adding to the festive atmosphere, while people in the streets turned their heads in surprise and pulled out their cellphones to record it in video clips and photos.
