Uitenhage - Volkswagen has extended its Polo Vivo model range with the special-edition Street, alongside an update and an optional Style package for the GT.
The Polo Vivo Street hatch (there's no sedan version) comes with the 63kW 1.4-litre petrol four, sporting 15 inch Cordoba rims on suspension lowered by 7mm, silver-painted side mirrors, double silver go-fast stripes on the bonnet and roof, echoed by more silver stripes on the door panels.
The interior (of which no pictures have been released) is (said to be) just as distinctive, with special Kadra seat trim and grey contrast stitching on the steering wheel, gear lever and gaiter.
All of which will set you back R159 900.
STYLE PACKAGE
The GT gets a new look inside and out; the previous 15 inch alloys give way to 16 inch Rivazza rims, while the 'Rocket' seat trim is replaced by a new fabric called 'Clark'. How does it all look? Once again we have no idea actually since VW hasn’t released any pictures.
VW is also offering a new ‘Style’ package, which is available on the 1.4-litre Trendline, 1.6 litre Trendline sedan and the 1.6 Comfortline models. It includes 15 inch rims, leather upholstery (including the steering wheel and gear lever) cruise control and chromed trim rings on the instrument cluster and switchgear.
The Style package will add R13 000 to the price of a 1.4 or 1.6 Trendline, and R9100 to the cost of a 1.6 Comfortline.
