Cher, the “Goddess of Pop”, has denied online rumours that she has split with her boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards.
The online speculations started after Edwards was spotted with a group of women at the biggest California music and arts festival, Coachella, without Cher.
Many online publications as well as fans speculated that the pair may be going through a rough patch or they might have gone their separate ways.
However, Cher’s representative stated that the couple is still together and the rumours are not true.
According to “TMZ”, an online publication, Cher’s representative said that Cher and Edwards are still together romantically and are very happy. Furthermore, he is attending Coachella with friends, and there’s no drama behind Cher’s absence.
Cher and Edwards started dating in November 2022 and after they publicised their relationship, they were faced with a lot of online scrutiny due to their 40-year age gap.
Many social media users disagreed with the age gap and criticised the authenticity of their relationship.
However, that did not stop the love birds from pursuing their love for one another - they went on to show off each other on social media and attended several events together.
Engagement rumours started making rounds on the internet after the 77-year-old singer posted a picture of a large and dazzling ring on X and shared that it comes from her 37-year-old boyfriend.
After a few hours, Cher shut down the engagement rumours and reposted her X post explaining that she posted the picture because his nails are cool.
In May 2023, there were online reports that the pair had split. By October, they seemed to have repaired their relationship.
Before dating Cher, Edwards was in a public relationship with model and media personality Amber Rose, and they share a child.
