Most women in the throes of labour aren’t too concerned about their appearance.
But for Mariah Carey, even the birth of her twins was a performance.
The 41-year-old pop diva insisted her husband, Nick Cannon, got the lighting just right for a video of the big event.
And she played a recording of one of her live performances so that her babies emerged to the roar and applause of an adoring crowd. Just two hours later, she was even dressed up with her hair done and make-up perfected, ready to celebrate the couple’s wedding anniversary.
The birth in April was “definitely over the top”, Mr Cannon, 30, told Sharon Osbourne on U.S. daytime show The Talk. “I told myself I was the production manager of the whole thing,” he said. “I was the DJ, I had the camera on one hand. The lighting had to be perfect. My wife was like, ‘You better make sure the lighting is right!’”
But he added that Miss Carey was a natural when it came to taking care of the twins, Moroccan and Monroe. “It’s amazing to see her as a mum and to be so nurturing. Her instincts are right on point,” he said. - Daily Mail
