Season three of “The Mommy Club” came with a few surprises such as reality TV veteran and OG cast member Mrs Mops' announcement that she would be stepping away from the show.
Mpumi Mophatlane, better known as Mrs Mops, began her reality TV journey on “The Real Housewives of Johannesburg” and then went on to “The Mommy Club” a show her family supported.
Mrs Mops explained that she opted for the friend role this season as she wanted to shift her focus toward her business.
“Being part of a reality show is incredibly time-consuming, and in this new chapter of my life, my priority is growing Nala Reign, my family, and continuing to build my brand as a boss babe.
“ 'The Mommy Club' will always be home for me, though, and you can expect me back!”
The businesswoman had nothing but positives to share about her time filming the show, calling it an incredible experience.
“It was a significant and meaningful part of my life, filled with unforgettable memories and deep, lasting connections. The crew became like family to me and I cherished having them in my home and my life.
“My kids also loved having the crew around - mainly because of all the yummy snacks they brought along!”
Earlier this year, Mrs Mops and her husband Isaac made headlines when their five-bedroom home in Waterkloof, Pretoria was up for auction for a second time. However, she did not state that her decision to leave the show had anything to do with her home being up for auction.
The ever-busy Mrs Mops has assured her fans that she does have exciting new things in the pipeline that will surprise a lot of people.
“My business, Nala Reign, is growing, and I’m also balancing my 9-to-5 and motherhood.
“Just keep watching - big things are coming and you are going to read about them soon. The future is looking incredibly bright!”
Mrs Mops advised the Moms on the show to always be themselves, on- and off-camera.
“When you’re authentic, there’s no need to pretend or do things you wouldn't normally do. Reality television is just that - real.
“You’ll have moments that aren’t perfect, but the key is to be adaptable and take accountability. I've had my moments that I’m not proud of, but the important thing is to learn, grow, and move forward with a better understanding.”
