Award-winning musician Kelly Khumalo and kwaito legend Arthur Mafokate have had their fans on the edge of their seats wondering what they are cooking with every boo’ed up snap they posted.
All has finally been revealed that the two top Mzansi musicians have been working together on a new song, called “Ngeke”.
The two dropped the afro soul song on Sunday at their private all-white party, along with a music video, which already has 119,870 views on YouTube.
“Wow! Hard to believe that the song is fast becoming an anthem in such a short space of time, thanks to everyone who is now streaming and singing along to the song #Ngeke,” celebrated Mafokate.
Khumalo shared with her followers that the song was originally recorded in 2019 and was finally released six years later.
At the event, Khumalo and Mafokate both dressed in red, continuing the matching theme they have had since Valentine’s Day. Videos from the day, show the collaborators embracing each other warmly during their performance.
As to whether the romance rumours will die down now that they have released their song only time will tell. In 2023, Khumalo welcomed her third child but never revealed the father of her child. She has been in public relationships with Jub Jub, the late Senzo Meyiwa and Chad da Don.
Mafokate has had his fair share of public relationships with musicians such as Cici and Chomee but has gone on to keep his love life private.
Khumalo and Mafokate’s fans are split on their possible relationship with some here for the new music but others are worried about the two considering their romantic pasts.
