Popular South African DJ Uncle Waffles has spoken out after being involved in claims that Amapiano artist PCee has made regarding exploitation in the Amapiano industry.
PCee went on Instagram Live to open up about making hit songs with an unnamed artist. However, the person did not give credit where it’s due, and he has not even received a single cent from some of the songs.
Even though he did not name the artist or the artist’s management team, social media users quickly pointed fingers at Uncle Waffles, claiming that she is the person that PCee is talking about.
Due to this, she has faced online backlash and criticism this week.
On April 18, the 25-year-old DJ addressed the online claims and commented on a video made by an entertainment blogger.
@_6uhle on TikTok made a video about PCee’s controversy and Uncle Waffles being entangled in it.
The “Yahyuppiah” hitmaker commented, “What’s crazy about all of this is 1. PCee is signed to a record label everyone knows. 2. He has an international distributor. 3. He has the means to reinvest in his brands the exact same way I do.

“I am an independent artist, all I do is from what I make. I solely reinvest in my brand. My team taught me music business. I pay for everything. Just dumb f***s who can’t handle that I’m going to ALWAYS BE HERE. And exist at the top as a woman, whether they like it or not.”
She further clarified and added on the situation regarding OPH Sage’s claims in 2024 about her.
“I let y’all play me with sage (Oph Sage) and not do s**t to his manager who sits on podcasts all day but isn’t putting his artist on. I’m not letting this slide again.
“He even had the audacity to speak on this matter like he wasn't there as we were paying for EVERY SINGLE THING.”
A phone call between Uncle Waffles and PCee was also leaked on social media, with Uncle Waffles questioning PCee about his claims.
She asks PCee who he was talking about when he mentioned an artist who is now internationally known.
He answers, “I’m talking about Jazziq and TxC.”
He further adds, “Look Waffla, if I had a problem straight with you, strictly you, I was gonna tell you. If I wasn't gonna reach you, I was going to tell Kai (Uncle’s Waffle’s manager)hence I told Kai that I am not talking about Waffles.
