The Sikwane and Matladi families have announced the memorial and funeral service for the late Thabiso Sikwane.
The renowned TV and radio broadcaster and producer died on Saturday, August 31, just weeks after celebrating her milestone 50th birthday.
In a statement issued by the families, family, friends, colleagues, and supporters were respectfully invited to celebrate and honour the “life of a woman whose warm spirit, Christ-centeredness, intelligence, and wisdom touched the lives of many.”
The memorial and funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 3C Ministries Church in Irene, Centurion, starting at 9.00am. The dress code for the memorial service is African Bright and strictly no black.
A private cremation ceremony will be held with the family at a later date. The scripture John 14 was also added to the statement.
“‘Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Sikwane’s ex-husband DJ and radio presenter, DJ Fresh opened up in an Instagram video about her passing.
“We are told that it could have been a cardiac arrest but what caused it hasn’t been ascertained.
“So we await a post mortem that will give everyone clarity, because it doesn’t make sense, it doesn’t make sense to anyone how this will happen out of the blue.”
