Cape Town - Time is running for the May 29, 2021 Lotto winner to claim their R20 million in just less than a week.
The ticket was played using the manual selection with a wager of R40 on Lotto draw number 2130.
“The Lotto jackpot of R20 569 105, won on May 29, 2021, still remains unclaimed. Following a call by Ithuba in March this year for the winner who played their ticket in Carletonville to come forward, no one has come to claim to date. This ticket is due to expire in less than one week. Should the ticket remain unclaimed, it will be used towards the National Lottery Distribution Fund, and used towards good causes,” said Ithuba.
Ithuba chief executive Charmaine Mabuza said: “We urge players to check their tickets and to approach the Ithuba offices to claim prizes that are over R50 000 as soon as they realise they have won.
“Keeping tickets for a long time before claiming renders one the risk of losing a ticket. Although players have a period of 365 days to claim their jackpot prizes, from the date of the draw, we do encourage them to come forward at their earliest convenience.”
Winners of R50 000 and above receive financial advice and trauma counselling at no cost to the winner. All national lottery winnings are tax free, said Ithuba.
